Microsoft Dynamics 365

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, formerly known as Dynamics AX, is a comprehensive cloud-based solution for financial management and business operations. It is specifically designed for large and medium-sized companies that have complex needs in finance, supply chain management and production.

Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations integrates various business functions, including accounting, financial planning, budgeting, purchasing, sales, inventory management, and production control. The solution provides an overall picture of the company's financial situation and operational processes and gives decision makers the opportunity to make informed decisions based on real-time data.

With Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, companies can automate and streamline their financial processes, reduce manual work and improve the accuracy of financial reporting. The solution supports multiple currencies, country-specific accounting standards and tax legislation, making it suitable for businesses operating globally.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a cloud-based solution for business administration and financial management, specially designed for small and medium-sized companies. Formerly known as Dynamics NAV. Business Central offers functionality for finance, sales, purchasing, inventory management, project management and production.

Business Central provides companies with an integrated platform to manage their core business processes, including accounting, payments, invoicing, sales orders, purchasing and inventory management. Both Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and Business Central are part of Microsoft's Dynamics 365 platform, which gives companies the ability to extend functionality with other applications and services as needed. The main differences between AX & Navision and what is now D365

The biggest difference between Dynamics AX and Navision and what is now summarized as Dynamics 365, is the infrastructure on which the systems are based. D365 is mainly a cloud-based ERP solution hosted by Microsoft Azure, while the slightly older systems are mainly desktop applications with some web and mobile add-ons. This means that Dynamics 365 can be used anywhere from any device as long as there is internet access - greatly improving the availability of the systems, whether you are out in the field or sitting in the office/home.

The new interface also improves the user experience and encourages much more collaboration with other users. D365 can be integrated with most applications within the Microsoft 365 platform such as CRM, Power BI and Power Apps and more, which we at Sherpas think is good. This means that companies get an overall solution within Microsoft 365, regardless of the tasks to be solved.

The cloud-based solution also means that new functions and system updates are more regular.

The licensing model for Dynamics 365 is different, the flexible pricing model means users can save money on user and device licenses.

Partner agreement with Dynaway

Sherpas Group has a partnership agreement with Dynaway which is a Danish company which
focuses on maintenance systems in asset-intensive industries.


Dynaway has worked closely with Microsoft® for more than 15 years and their solutions are fully integrated with Microsoft Dynamics® 365 for Finance and Operations, and Microsoft Dynamics® AX modules such as inventory, purchasing, projects, HR, etc.


The agreement is based on making Sherpas expertise available together with Dynaway's software for companies that use or are considering Microsoft Dynamics® 365 for Finance and Operations and need a fully integrated solution for maintenance and asset management.
