Wibax & SharePoint Online

Since the mid-80s, Wibax, a privately owned chemical supplier, has been developing its logistics network. The business consists, among other things, of sales, import, production and distribution of primarily liquid chemical products.

When the company considered closing down its file servers and at the same time reviewed the possibility of the cloud for managing documents, SharePoint Online became their natural choice.

Magnus Burström, CIO at Wibax, points out that SharePoint Online has undergone significant improvements in recent years and now has a much more user-centric strategy, which also gives the company significantly higher security than traditional file servers.

One of the main benefits of SharePoint Online is its ability to increase document accessibility and promote order. By using this platform, Wibax can now ensure that their documents are available anytime and anywhere, which is crucial in today's work environment where flexibility, security and mobility are of the utmost importance. In addition, Wibax can reduce its IT costs in the future by eliminating the need for local file servers

Sherpas played a critical role in Wibax's transition to SharePoint Online. By partnering with Sherpas, Wibax was able to take advantage of the extensive features that Microsoft 365 offers. Through workshops, training and consultancy from Sherpas, Wibax was able to create a clear path forward to exploit the opportunities offered by the platform with a focus on searchability and metadata.

It's not just about moving documents to the cloud, but also about transforming the entire way of working into a modern, efficient and well-organized process where document management is a central part.

Pär Aronsson, project manager at Sherpas, emphasizes the importance of offering maximum return from the tools available within the Microsoft 365 subscription. By bringing together expertise and metadata, Wibax and Sherpas have together created a solution that not only meets their immediate need to find the right documents, but also positions them far ahead in a rapidly changing digital world.

In summary, SharePoint Online together with Sherpas has helped Wibax achieve increased availability, better structure and cost savings in its document management. It is a clear example of how the right digital tools and partnerships can transform and modernize the workplace.
